Salted Caramel Collagen Oats

Breakfast salted caramel oat porridge

What if you could get your collagen, your salted caramel fix and your breakfast all at once?!

Thanks to this recipe, you actually can!  The flavours in this porridge are amazingly good, with the dates adding an authentic caramel flavour. You'll be in a good mood all day.


½ cup jumbo oats

1 cup water (or ½ cup water, ½ cup milk)

1 serve (8 grams) of Puraz Raw Collagen

4 medjool dates

½ tsp vanilla essence

Sea salt or kelp salt

Optional: milk, yogurt and nuts to serve


Chop the dates into chunks - each date into about 6 pieces.

Put the oats, chopped dates and water (and milk if you are using it) in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer until the porridge is thickened to how you like it. Stir frequently to prevent it sticking to the pot. When it's done, stir through the collagen powder so that it's thoroughly combined into the oats.

Transfer to a breakfast bowl and sprinkle lightly with salt, kelp salt or kelp powder. 

Serve with milk, yogurt, nuts, or whatever you like to have on your porridge.
